From this “farewell” video, it is with a heavy heart that we must announce that due to COVID 19, Stronghold Ops will be shuttering its doors by November’s end. We plan to keep our Pro Shop open until Black Friday, 11/27/2020, but our playing fields have closed during this second resurgence. As they say, “God closes doors but leaves windows open” so we’ll see what the future holds? Therefore, we’re reevaluating reopening at a later time. Unlike people that are obsessed with destinations, we’re reflecting on our journey. The past 3.5 years have been a whirlwind of roller-coaster events. Though arduous, the ride has been exhilarating, an adventure in which we met some of the warmest staff, patrons, parents, players and children. An oasis in which people could escape their daily routines to work, play and socialize, Stronghold Ops established a special spirit, a Disney-like vibe that possessed soul. Our motto, “Integrity, Sportsmanship and Respect,” was imbued in our culture by our diverse and wonderful staff. In closing, I’d like to state that I take personal pride in knowing that our special staff embraced our motto in their efforts to provide our patrons with a safe, fun experience. They animated the difference between being “on-duty” versus being “on-the-clock.” I’m also proud that Stronghold Ops was a veteran-owned entity in which some of our former staff is currently serving on active duty, two are retired military, and three former Marines helped launch Stronghold. We never lost sight of those who serve and especially those who have paid the highest price to be called an American. Many of the virtues and traditions inherent in the military were woven into Stronghold’s fabric. Thank you for the many memories. They have validated that the past 3.5 years did not pass in dream.
